Philly trip, DAY ONE!

Remember the bday gift for the hubby? Surprise trip up to Philadelphia to see his beloved Phillies play.... off we go!

Bay Bridgin' up to the Eastern Shore...

after a quick stop for some burritos, we're headed into the city!

checked into the hotel Warwick, a Radisson right downtown and it was BEAUTIFUL!!

oh yeah....this is just beautiful....

but, just before gametime...the skies cleared and a double rainbow appeared!

grounds crew out to remove the waterlogged tarp...

bringing out the Phantasy Leagues members and honorees....

Jayson Werth was named NL MVP (that's a lot of letters) for the week, and I guess the prize is a handshake with the Phanatic? I wonder what he said in that big green cone-nose.

Uh, oh...more storms on the horizon, and more points up on the board for the Braves... Thanks to my ticket connection, we were actually sitting WITH the Braves fans which was a little uncomfortable.

They did put up one homerun....

Well, despite some decent effort and a couple of close calls, the score still sucked. 9-1 Braves when we left... and the skies opened up again.

Biggest surprise? Matt actually took it VERY well; still professed to have a ton of fun and there's plenty more fun to come... stand by :)
